Undergrounds

Underground..Underground..
Mind the gap..
between these..moving trains..
i catch up a nap
dreams.. of this world underground
harsh realities..above the ground..
it moves ...life speeds..
Londoners up to read..
station by station..
reaching my destination..
nightmares.and ..foreplays...
dark grey skys and sunny days..
imagine imagine all i can
from noting hill to portman
three stops
i got to stop..
Marble Arch..here i am
squeeze me as much as u can
from 6.70 to a 5 pound...
undergrounds..undergrounds..
if there is a sky above..and it has no limits
there is an underground..
u just bought yourself a ticket..

Jan31, 2009 Ascot 1972

Well...if there is going to be replaced by a word it would be LonUndone and not Lon Done..
Its all struggle here... so if you have it in you to fight the odds and get to do anything and everything it takes to earn u a bare minimum few pounds which proabably will not even earn you a decent meal...my friends you are in the right place....
u r welcome to live the way you like...

Best to come when you are teenager here..though I would love to encourage people who come here in their almost mid thirties..
like me...but hey you have to be prepared for a fight...or else you are a gifted one..
Its a perfect place to pursure your passions and studies...but have the money and the pounds ready...
Well another thing,it pays in UK to know the train and bus services..one area that you pay a lot.

Trains@Oyster

So it will pay you ultimately to know your Trains here... the quickest and the best way of transportation in the city.. I know those buses are extremely tempting... but just like Mumbai ....they might not be the best option as there could be a traffic jam and you spend far more time to get to the place that you want to go...
So you have different lines... a timetable is usually available outside all Underground stations... Now the trains can be identified by of course by the name and also more importantly also by the shape of the bogies or the trains.. The fastest line is perhaps the " Central Line"
This is shown in Red...
The line extends right at the centre from Upminister and goes to West Ruislip....
I take the same for my place of work between Marble Arch and to Hanger land and Back...
All the coolest places are along this line... Well Notting Hill which tempts me to Kabir's Oxford and Regent Street.. I would have named that street " Kabir's Apple Store Street" perhaps when Kabir arrives here we can change it.....
So sorry.. I get carried away when it comes to Kabir...
So you have the Central Line, the district Line and the Piccadily Line, Northern line, Bakerloo line, Jubilee, City Line, Metropolitan Line... So what you need to do is the following as you leave from home
1. Get the name of the station: Where From and Where to.
2. Get the Postcodes of the places
3. Please enter the same on the Travel Planner on the apple and
4. Get the names of the trains that you would be changing on that line..
5. Get an umbrella, put over your thick jacket and simply get out!!!
6. Yes before I end please purchase an oysetr card its a cheaper way of travelling ...pay 5 quids and if u have money get your card registered.. and then pay as you go....ie.. Keep topping your card up..
So go for it!!
Londons all set for you

Three Important Things here

Well you need a comp...preferably an apple....u need google maps (To check the post codes) and you need an Oyster card and a url: Travel Planner...
If you have these well my friend you are all set to say your first Hellos to this city....
You can very well find your way and all the courtsies of the people and the city will be extended to you...
A recent article a news item on Prince Harry..that has caught everybody's attention is that he had to apologize for calling an asian friend a name...
London is an extremely cosmopolitan city... You could find almost all possible races walking down the same aisle and with the same dignity...
Well yes but all that you need as I mentioned is the above.... an apple...an oyster card and a google map which guides you...
You see unfortunately it took me a week to realise what I share with you in this very second is that this city rather the country works on Postcodes that something that we almost dont remember in our own country sometimes....
The postcode gives you an identity here...
I would have love to be attached to for example the post code SW61UU... this code is for Fulham where I spent good 21 days...
Extremely nice and peaceful neighbourhood with Hammersmith towards its left and Kengsington on its right, the most expensive area in London... I believe Laxmi Mittal has bought a property here that where you have to use a car to go from one end to another...
Anyways so yes we had the Chelsea club on one side and the Fulham broadway on the other...
Anyways so all this comes in Zone1... and I was on the district line...
So those are the three things... please remember Kabs those are the priority... you have the apple and google map- u need the Oyster Card only buddy and you are all set..

London Ups and Downs

London has shown me the good and the bad....
I saw the Big Ben and when i was trying to see that I had enough money in my pocket to get me back home..
I have been up and down the famous "Oxford Street" , "Trafalgar Square", to find a job in the cold..and run through Hyde Park and Piccadily to cross over to save money on the Oyster Card....
with the Chelsea Club right next to me...
I have walked uphill and almost looked into the Wimbledon stadium trying to find my way to try and get myself a contact and pick my medicines...
It has been a bit of journey...
I have known London from Hayes to Canary Wharf... all on foot....
London was a dream and I thought this was a path to fulfilling a bigger dream...that of my parents and those which I want for my friend.....Kabir........

I really look forward to the days that I will be able to welcome them in my small house in the area that I really want to be... perhaps Notting Hill...
Make them comfortable and present to them all that is beautiful that is within the city....
London is a very different city... here I have decided since my initial days I still find a lot that I will have to learn I will have to see and as I am still not quiet a part of this society and this culture I will pen down my thoughts....
and all that I find here so that when I am gone or not here my friend never has to be in trouble or looking out for something that he needs...and feels that he is restricted or unaware about....
so I have decided that I will keep mentioning everything that comes to my mind....
My ultimate goal in my life is that I should be able to have the wishes and the dreams of my friend and my parents and sis fulfilled... what more could anyone want..... A smile from those who are the closest to my heart....and I can die peacefully....
But as there is lots that I need to go ahead with I will do that right away...
I need Gods blessings for any and everything.......so Sai I seek your blessings always...
